TRUMPF TruLaser Tube 7000 solid-state laser cuts tubes up to 10 in. dia.

TRUMPF’s new TruLaser Tube 7000 fiber combines the high speeds of a solid-state laser with a variety of processing capabilities. It can cut tubes and profiles with diameters of up to 10 in. and materials as thick as 0.39 in. It also executes bevel cuts up to 45 degrees.

The machine has a 4-kW TruDisk 4001. The beam source is robust and reaches the high cutting speeds typical of solid-state lasers, says the company. The RapidCut function further increases productivity. By superimposing the movements of the tube axis and cutting head, the company says it has achieved a fourfold increase in machine dynamics. As a result, the high feed rates of the solid-state laser are noticeable even in small contours.

The PierceLine option, a function the company has transferred from sheet to tube processing, speeds up the piercing process. The machine also comes equipped with an automatic load/unload feature.
