Automatic sawing machine handles tube up to 4 in. dia.

BLM Group USA has introduced the CM602 automatic CNC sawing machine. It can handle tube and bar up to 4 in. dia. depending on the material, achieving blade speeds up to 5,000 RPM.

The saw is suitable for cutting short and medium-length steel, copper, brass, and aluminum tubes, as well as solid bars and custom profiles. The touchscreen panel provides icons to help operators with detailed, step-by-step instructions. The operator enters the tube shape, material thickness, cut length, and material type, and the machine selects the appropriate blade from its library; calculates the stroke, cutting head feed rate, and blade speed; and then monitors the chip load to prevent the blade from being overloaded and developing damaging excessive heat.

The material is loaded into the cutting area by a servomotor carriage, providing repeatable positioning and cut length accuracy.
