Bend-Tech’s Coolant Support System handles long tubes in plasma cutting operations

Bend-Tech has announced the development of its Coolant Support System, designed to help make the handling of long stainless steel and aluminum tube and pipe materials more efficient. Intended for use with the company’s Dragon A400 and Dragon A250 CNC plasma cutters, the system has additional support trolleys that carry stock as it is loaded into the machine and hold up long parts to help maintain a consistent, clean cut regardless of length.

The system lets operators handle materials almost instantly after plasma cutting because of the increased heat exchange rate while using coolant. Its rigid sidewalls and splash guards contain fluids and prevent spills.

The system supports the A400’s full 400-lb. weight capacity of round, square, or rectangle stock. The A250 with the system supports round stock to 260 lbs. It allows quick release for fast changes between materials sizes, maintains material centerline, and uses nonmarring supports.
