Circular cutting device added to Schwarze-Robitec’s CNC 80 E TB MR bender
Schwarze-Robitec now offers its CNC 80 E TB MR electric, multiradius tube bender with a circular cutting device that cuts tubes during the bending process.
Three cutting wheels circle around the tube several times at an angle of 120 degrees, gradually cutting through the tube without creating shavings. The cutting point also can be between two bends, minimizing intermediate lengths. The wheels are easily replaced when worn down, the company states.
The NxG control prepares all machine axles simultaneously for the subsequent steps in the bending sequence. A vertically adjustable pressure die moves to the individual levels in sync with the tube.
