Esco APS-438 pipe cutting saw and track cuts square with no HAZ
Esco Tool has introduced the APS-438 air-powered saw and WrapTrack trolley system for cutting stainless and carbon steel pipe from 6 to 60 in. dia.
The trolley guides the saw around the circumference of the pipe without wobbling to produce perfectly square cuts, the company states. The saw also produces no HAZ, leaving a smooth finish for end prepping or joining pipes with couplings.
The system is offered in 28 sizes of stainless steel bands that clamp onto the pipe and accept the trolley-mounted saw. The operator maintains the fiberglass-reinforced blade’s leading edge on the pipe to produce a cut with +/-1/16-in. accuracy.
