Esco’s COHOG split-frame pipe cutter now features hydraulic motor

Esco Tool now offers its COHOG split-frame pipe cutting machine with a hydraulic motor that permits low-speed operation with high torque for chatter-free cutting of superduplex and other highly alloyed pipe. Suitable for jobs requiring a high volume of end preps, the clamshell machine has a stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminum alloy that is hard-coated and supports a custom-steel-forged, heat-treated, nickel-plated rotating ring.

Available in eight sizes for pipe ODs from 2 to 24 in., the machine is available with interchangeable electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic motors. Requiring a 10- to 15-GPM pump at 1,500 PSI, which can be rented or supplied by the user, the hydraulic motor provides variable speeds from 1 to 20 RPM.
