ID clamping machine bevels heavy-wall pipe without chatter

Esco Tool offers the Commander MILLHOG ID clamping pipe beveling machine for prepping all schedules of pipe from 3.75 in ID to 14 in. OD using one mandrel and seven sets of clamps. Featuring three large, wide clamps that spread their contact forces radially inside the pipe for stable mounting, the beveler provides chatter-free operation to perform precision end preps on both thin and heavy-wall pipe without requiring cutting fluids.

Employing formed cutter blades with chipbreakers that direct heat away from the pipe’s surface to prevent work hardening, the machine can perform 37-1/2-degree bevels, compound, counterbore, and J-preps on high-alloy materials.
