Pipe fit-up clamp aligns round tubes for tack welding

Strong Hand Tools® has introduced a compact, portable pipe clamp for fitting up round pipes for tack welding in a butt-welding application. The user locates a round pipe by placing it on the fixed bottom mounting bracket, aligns the pipe by sliding the clamp arm down to contact the pipe, and then sets all three fine-adjustment screws for three-point alignment. Finally, the user tightens the threaded clamp spindle to hold pipes in position for tack welding.

The sliding clamp arm design allows for the rapid, repeated loading and unloading of pipes. Two clamp models are available for clamping capacities of 2 to 4 in. and 4 to 5-1/2 in. The clamp spindle and fixed mounting base are black-oxided for protection against weld spatter and rust.
