Rounding pads in clamshell split-frame machine protect thin-wall tubing

The COHOG split-frame tube beveling machine is available from Esco Tool. It features a stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminum alloy that is hard-coated and a steel-forged, heat-treated, nickel-plated rotating ring.
New antideformation rounding pads prevent thin-wall pipe and tubing from being crushed. The indexable tooling squares itself to the tube OD with the rounding pads attached. A one-piece module mounts to the tool slide and holds a preangled bit of 30 degrees, 37-1/2 degrees, or a custom angle.
