Tube bending, cutting incorporated in one tool

Schwarze-Robitec has expanded its cutting tool, integrating it into a bending tool for large diameters of up to 3 in. According to the company, this one-step process decreases scrap material up to 90 percent and reduces production times.

The integrated tool is suitable for producing parts in high quantities. Machining of longer pipe units instead of cut-off pipe sections is possible, which reduces the time required for machine loading and unloading.

With the new cutting technology, all components receive a clean cutting edge suitable for further processing. This makes the technology suitable for series production, such as in the automotive sector or supplier industry. The controlled chip removal process keeps most of the chips produced during the cutting process away from the machine.
