Why shared knowledge about additive manufacturing can go a long way for metal fabricators

Length: 50:20

In the second episode of The Additive Report Advisor video series, Vince Anewenter, director of Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Rapid Prototyping Consortium, joins host Todd Grimm to offer practical insights gathered from his experiences as an additive manufacturing user. They discuss the importance of metal fabricators and job shops tapping into a shared knowledge base to help guide their journey into 3D printing. They also cover whether shops should explore AM (most likely, yes), how to select the right AM processes/technology, and so much more (including that "rapid prototyping" is another term for "additive manufacturing").

Anewenter has worked for MSOE for almost 17 years, including the past four years as the school's director of the RP Consortium program. He has also served as treasurer of the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) since 2012.
