Komatsu TLH fiber laser processes aluminum, high-strength steel quickly

Komatsu offers the TLH 5-axis fiber laser system for processing aluminum, high-strength steel, and brass parts. According to the company, the machine offers a lower running cost than typical CO2 systems, three to four times faster processing speeds on aluminum, excellent cut quality on hot-stamped parts, a rotary table for quicker throughput of larger-volume parts runs, and touchscreen programming and editing on the teach pendant and controller screen.

Greater accuracy at higher speeds helps increase productivity, according to the manufacturer, and fiber-optic beam delivery helps reduce downtime for maintenance.
