UniCarriers Americas expands campus with 120,000-sq.-ft. facility

Material handling equipment-maker UniCarriers Americas Corp. has expanded its Marengo, Ill., campus with the addition of a 120,000-sq.-ft. facility, increasing its manufacturing space by 30 percent and the total campus size by 53 percent.

The $2 million facility is across the street from the company’s current campus headquarters and one-quarter mile from its distribution center. The firm’s finished-goods and warehouse and shipping operations have been moved to the new facility, and 25 percent of the facility will be dedicated to the laser cutting fabrication process. It also will house training, testing, and R&D.
