Penn Stainless Products, Quakertown, Pa., a distributor and processor of stainless steel sheet, plate, bar, structural, pipe, and tubular products, has announced a collaborative partnership with "Dr. Metals," Hira Ahluwalia, PhD, a scientist, metallurgist, materials and corrosion consultant, and president of Material Selection Resources Inc.
Ahluwalia's collaboration will add technical expertise and field experience for the company's customers in areas such as corrosion analysis, material selection, and testing. Author of more than 20 published articles, he has served as chairman of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and is a recipient of that organization’s Distinguished Service Award.
"Dr. Metals' has lengthy experience in dealing with corrosion and related metallurgical topics for multiple industry segments," said President Jim Seward. "We are very excited to have his considerable breadth of knowledge to support our customers."
Ahluwalia will assist Penn Stainless and its customers with more demanding specification requirements and technical processes. "Selecting, specifying and fabricating corrosion-resistant alloys correctly ensures long-term reliability and reduces the cost of corrosion," he said.
