Steel Dynamics announces senior leadership changes

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based steel producer and metals recycler Steel Dynamics Inc. has announced a number of changes to its senior leadership.

Miquel Alvarez has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, Southwest U.S. and Mexico. He comes to the company after serving 18 years in leadership positions at BlueScope and its Steelscape subsidiary. He began his professional career in Monterrey, Mexico, working for a large steel processing company with locations throughout Mexico.

Glenn Pushis has been appointed as the company’s first senior vice president, special projects. He has been with the company since 1994, serving as senior vice president, Long Products Steel Group, since 2016. Before that Pushis served as vice president overseeing the company's Butler Flat Roll Division and six flat-roll coating facilities.

Christopher Graham will assume the role of senior vice president, Long Products Steel Group. He has served as senior vice president, downstream manufacturing and president of New Millennium Building Systems since 2016. He joined the company in 1994.

James Anderson will assume the role of vice president, steel fabrication and president, New Millennium Building Systems. Since 2015 he has served as COO of New Millennium Building Systems. Before that he was the general manager of the company's three flat-roll galvanizing lines located in Pittsburgh (The Techs).
