Bobcat plant recognized for safety, health excellence

The U.S. Labor Dept.'s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has recognized the Bobcat Co. for excellence in occupational safety and health. The company was designated a "Merit" site on OSHA's Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) during a Feb. 8 ceremony at the plant in Bismark, N.D.

"VPP Merit sites meet safety and health program elements that far exceed minimum OSHA standards," said Greg Baxter, OSHA's regional administrator in Denver.

Noteworthy in Bobcat's program are its occupational health and ergonomic hazard management initiatives.
