Glaro Inc. marks 70 years in business

Glaro Inc., Hauppauge, N.Y., celebrates 70 years in business in 2015. Originally founded in 1945 by Harry Glass, the business was launched in a Bronx, N.Y., basement, where he hand-made products out of surplus World War II aluminum materials.

Since then the company has evolved into a manufacturer of waste and recycling receptacles, bellman and platform carts, crowd control systems, coat hanging equipment, and numerous other aluminum and steel products.
