Porta North America moving U.S. headquarters to North Carolina
Metal cutting machine manufacturer Porta North America will relocate its North American headquarters from Newington, Conn., to Charlotte, N.C.
A subsidiary of Italy-based Porta-Solutions S.p.A., the company also is expanding its U.S. business operations with the opening of a North American Training Center for Flexible Production. The facility will offer training in lean manufacturing practices for customers and companies in the production metal cutting industry.
The $3.5 million expansion and relocation are expected to create more than 25 new jobs.
