LSP Industries’ B Coater imparts proper amount of lubricant to stamping blanks

The B Coater from LSP Industries lubricates blanks for the stamping industry while reducing lubricant consumption by as much as 70% and increasing productivity by as much as 30% over hand lubricating, says the company.

The stainless steel unit is available in six sizes to handle blanks from about 6 to 48 in. Driven with a variable-speed motor, the system feeds each blank through the rolls while the lubricant is being applied to the blank. Blanks are coated by lubricant through a manifold system that allows the blank to be fully coated or selectively lubricated on certain areas of the blank.

The company’s programmable electronic controller supplies the proper amount of lubricant on demand while the blank passes through the rolls. Lubricant is supplied by a diaphragm pump mounted on a variety of reservoirs. The system comes completely assembled and only has to be attached to the reservoir with the diaphragm pump.
