Shape cutting machine gantry accommodates four waterjet, two high-def plasma stations

ESAB Cutting Systems has introduced the Hydrocut™ LX low-rail waterjet shape cutting machine. It features a large gantry with a high-stiffness beam design, dual precision linear rails, and precision rack and pinion drives.
The size and strength of this gantry make it suitable for waterjet cutting over large working areas with multiple process tools. Featuring all-steel construction, the gantry has machined mating surfaces and rides on a floor-mounted, heavy-duty, 85-lb. crane rail system. The gantry can be equipped with up to four waterjet stations, as well as up to two high-definition plasma stations featuring the m3 Precision Plasmarc system.
Both X and Y axes are protected with bellows covers to keep abrasive materials and moisture away from the rails.
With accurate speed control from 0.1 to 1,400 IPM, the machine is available in cutting widths from 8 to 18 ft. and working lengths up to 56 ft. The Vision T5 touchscreen CNC has a built-in process database that automatically sets all parameters based on selection of material type and thickness.
