Data collection unit provides interface between manufacturing process, ERP/MRP II

The new MDT-20 from Production Process is a universal, real-time data collection and production scheduling interface between any discrete manufacturing process and ERP/MRP II. The unit provides a bidirectional link to any discrete parts manufacturing machine and gathers production, performance, and job tracking information.

To collect data the unit accepts up to four electrical operating signals from the machine. It records cycle time and rate, part and reject counts, and downtime and calculates overall equipment effectiveness. Data is transmitted via wired or wireless Ethernet to supporting production manager or job manager software.

Its bidirectional link to system software provides an automated export of production and performance data for reporting and updating inventory. An import of the master production schedule to individual machine job queues provides dynamic production scheduling and real-time job completion tracking.
