Washing/drying machine cleans inserts before coating

Vapormatt has introduced the Ocelot washing and drying machine, designed to clean and dry wet-blasted cemented carbide inserts at one station before coating.

The stainless steel, compact, all-in-one unit features a deionized water plant, air and water filtration systems, and a vacuum unit. The preprogrammed washing programs remove any blast media left on the surface to less than 1 particle per 1 mm2. Vacuums remove all moisture from the surface for 1-min. drying times that prevent cobalt leaching.
