Diesel engine-driven welding machines handle multiple welding operations
- September 3, 2014

- Arc Welding
Lincoln Electric has introduced the Vantage® 600 SD and Air Vantage 600 SD engine-driven welding machines. Each is equipped with a Tier 4 Final-T4F-compliant Deutz® turbo-charged diesel engine that meets all new EPA diesel fuel emission standards.
Designed for heavy industrial applications such as mining, general construction, and pipe welding, both engine-driven welders are engineered to handle SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and arc gouging.
The welding machines have been re-engineered using a new digital platform. Waveform Control Technology® delivers smooth arc characteristics, fast arc response, and improved pipe welding capabilities, including reduced spatter, the company states. New pulsing capabilities provide improved arc control for out-of-position work and can be used to reduce heat input for less base material distortion.
