Lissmac to host seminar on edge rounding, deburring, and finishing on May 9

Lissmac, Waterford, N.Y., will host a seminar on edge rounding, deburring, and finishing at the 3M CAM Center in St. Paul, Minn., on May 9, 2018. It is designed for companies involved with punching or laser, plasma, or oxyfuel cutting that want to learn more about streamlining the deburring, chipping slag, and graining processes.

The company will team up with 3M to present ways to prevent common deburring bottlenecks. The SMW 5 series four-head machine will be available for parts processing demos, along with the SBM-L G1S2 and the SBM-XS small-parts machine.

Attendees will tour the 3M facility and will learn:

• How edge rounding helps powder coat adhesion.
• The advantages to top and bottom deburring and wide belt deburring.
• How to achieve a safe and effective edge radius.
• The appropriate head configurations for graining.
• How to achieve a superior aesthetic appearance on parts.
